Vera Kroms received her B.S. and M.A. in Mathematics from Simmons and Boston University, respectively, but has always been interested in writing. She studied with Lucie Brock-Broido and the "Sargent Street Regulars" for over 15 years. Recent work has appeared in Columbia Journal of the Arts, Margie, Gulf Coast, Perihelion and the Del Sol Review. She was a finalist for the Perugia Press Intro Award, the Colorado Prize for Poetry, the Del Sol Poetry Prize, and the Richard Snyde Memorial Prize. She works at Tufts University as a programmer.
