After several decades of organizing, activism, and founding two businesses, Michael Ansara started writing poetry 5 years ago at the age of 56. He has been fortunate to study with Barbara Helfgott Hyett, Joan Houlihan, and Lucie Brock-Broido. His poems have appeared in the Del Sol Review, Passager, and Mid American Poetry Review.
