Wendy Mnookin is the author of four books of poetry, The Moon Makes Its Own Plea, What He Took and To Get Here, published by BOA Editions, and Guenever Speaks, a collection of persona poems. Her poems appear in journals, including Harvard Review, Prairie Schooner and Rhino; online sites, including LocusPoint and Poetry Daily; and anthologies, including Boomer Girls and Proposing on the Brooklyn Bridge. She has won a book award from the New England Poetry Club and a Poetry Fellowship from the National Endowment for the Arts. Mnookin graduated from Radcliffe College and the Vermont College MFA Program. She teaches poetry at Emerson College and Grub Street. Check out her website for more information.
Mnookin and her husband live in Newton, Massachusetts, where they raised their three children. Besides reading and writing, she loves walking, gardening, cooking, eating and napping, not necessarily in that order.
