Mary Zoll

Mary Zoll graduated from Vassar College with honors and from Boston University with a doctorate in biochemistry. She consults as a scientific and medical editor and teaches part-time in the writing program at The Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Mary has been writing poetry for 25 years. She’s studied with Robert Bly, Harold Bond, Ferron, Carolyn Forche, Beckian Fritz Goldberg, Grace Paley, Marge Piercy, Carl Phillips, Ottone Riccio, Roger Weingarten, and others, and attended The Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference and The Postgraduate Writers’ Conference at Vermont College. Her poems have won several awards, been made into a short film, and have been published in PoetPourri, Quest, Snowy Egret, The Aviary, The Beacon, The CenterPost, The Christian Science Monitor, The Comstock Review, and ten anthologies, including How We Are Called and Beyond Absence: A Treasury of Poems, Quotations, and Readings on Death and Remembrance. She is working on a collection titled "Wednesdays at 3."
